LOCATION
East Kilbride was Scotland's first New Town and is now
the 6th largest town in Scotland with a population in
excess of 80,000.
Located 10 miles south
east of Glasgow, East Kilbride has excellent
communications links including a direct connection to
the M74 motorway via the East Kilbride Expressway and
via the Glasgow Southern Orbital. These link to the M8,
M73 and M74 providing further access to Central
Scotland.

Scottish Enterprise
Technology Park sits directly south of the Town Centre
which houses East Kilbride Shopping Centre, and East
Kilbride Bus and Train Stations. Kingsgate Retail Park
is also situated a short drive away on the A749.
A mini-bus service
connects the Technology Park to the local town centre.

DESCRIPTION
Scottish Enterprise Park was established in April 1994
and extends to approx 32.5 hectares. The park is already
home to an impressive list of over 100 companies in the
following sectors:
Advanced engineering and
electronics Environmental technology · Medical and
pharmaceutical information technology and software
development · Biotechnology Consultancies working with
these sectors
In addition to
offering excellent conference facilities, resident firms
benefit from expert business support services from
Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire. This is supplemented by
an on site restaurant/coffee shop which also provides
snacks and a buffet delivery service for meetings and
corporate lunches, conference and meeting room
facilities and an on site nursery, Techno Tots.
The Technology Park will
be further enhanced by the relocation of South
Lanarkshire College to a new building on a
self-contained site at the east end of the Park due for
completion December 2007.
